Rent at Scott Hill is based on your individual income to make it affordable for everyone. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) subsidizes each individual’s rent. Even someone with no income can afford to live at Scott Hill.
Persons wishing to reside at Scott Hill must have an adjusted income which does not exceed federally established income limits for the Clifton Forge area. The amount paid for rent, including a utility allowance, will not exceed 30% of an eligible resident’s adjusted income.
Additionally, water, sewer, and trash removal are included in the rent. Residents are responsible for their own electric bill, and for phone, internet and cable television service (should they choose to have them). Scott Hill does not provide assisted living, nursing, or other care services.
